Autobiography
Born in the village. Skryagivka of Trostyanets district of Sumy region in family of collective farmers. He served in the USSR Armed Forces, and from 1969 to 1973 studied at the full-time department of the Kharkiv Law Institute, majoring in Law.
He began his professional work in the position of investigator of the prosecutor’s office of the Okhtyrsky district of Sumy region and later worked in the bodies of the prosecutor’s office of Sumy region in various positions, including the prosecutor of Okhtyrka and Sumy.
From 1994 to 2004 he held the position of Deputy Prosecutor of Sumy Region, Senior Advisor to Justice.
In 1999, he defended his dissertation for a Candidate of Law Degree in Protection of the Rights and Legal Interests of Prisoners of Imprisonment at the Specialized Academic Council of the National Law Academy of Ukraine named after Yaroslav the Wise.
From August 2004 he worked as the Vice-Rector for the scientific and methodological work of the Sumy Humanitarian Institute “Open International University for Human Development” Ukraine “, and for the last years – the first Vice-Rector, Head of the Law Department of the Institute.
In August 2007 he was appointed Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, since September 2008 – the first Vice-Rector, Head of the Department of Justice of Sumy National Agrarian University.
On October 21, 2014, at the Specialized Academic Council of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, he successfully defended his dissertation on the Unity of the Civilistic Process: Problems of Theory and Practice for the degree of Doctor of Law in specialty 12.00.03 – Civil Law and Civil Procedure; family law; international private law
February 26, 2015 Kuril MP awarded the degree of Doctor of Law in specialty 12.00.03 – Civil Law and Civil Procedure; family law; international private law.
On December 26, 2017, MP Kuril was awarded the academic title of Professor of the Department of Justice. He has more than 70 scientific works, including monographs, scientific articles in professional and foreign editions, including the one-man monograph “The theory of civilistic procedure” published by the University of Warsaw in English and 5 publications in Scopus scientific-metric database. Kurilo M.P. is a co-author of textbooks and manuals, including the MES.
He has been awarded the Breastplate of “Excellence in Education of Ukraine”, the Breastplate of “Honorary Worker of the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine”, the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine and many departmental awards.
